A Heritage Home in Lichfield: Graham & Heidi’s Story
Creating a beautiful multi-room dressing room retreat in the heart of Staffordshire
Graham and Heidi’s Lichfield (Staffordshire) home wasn’t short on charm, but after their children moved out they found themselves staring at extra space and wondering what to do with it. They weren’t looking for just any-old home upgrade – they wanted a space that reflected their personalities, needs and frankly, their fabulous taste.
Cue The Heritage Wardrobe Company.
Here’s how we helped Graham and Heidi transform their Staffordshire home into a beautifully functional connected dressing room retreat. The complete solution – This four room masterpiece will make Graham and Heidi the envy of their friends and family for decades to come.
Read on for a breakdown of all 4 rooms and a video tour of this truly amazing Heritage Home masterpiece…
Room 1 of 4: Bedroom
A bookcase in the bedroom
– What a bright idea
In their bedroom, Graham and Heidi envisioned a stylish bookcase that would do more than just hold books.
The solution was to design a set of tailor-made, matching bookcases either side of their fireplace, with subtle lighting to give the room a extra luxurious glow. Perfect for a late-night read or just showing off their great taste.
Oh, and those “drawers”? Just for show! They cleverly hide the pesky wires that no one wants to see (but everyone needs).
Room 2 of 4: Linking hallway
A Tallboy fit for a shoe connoisseur
If there’s one thing Graham loves (besides Heidi, of course), it’s his shoes.
With the home’s lofty ceilings, we designed a tallboy that maximised storage space while adding an elegant vertical feature.
This isn’t just shoe storage – it’s a shrine to fine footwear.
Room 3 of 4: Bathroom
His-and-hers vanity dresser
– To keep the peace
In their bathroom, Graham and Heidi both needed their own space (because, let’s face it, sharing a sink is a battle nobody wins).
To keep the peace, we created a double vanity with a colour scheme that matched the dressing room (Little & Green -Three Farm Green), offering cross-room unity and, most importantly, separate sinks and customised storage for each.
Room 4 of 4: Dressing room
A dressing room to die for
Heidi’s dressing room became her oasis of calm.
Designed with tailored storage and a beautiful finish, it’s a space where she can organise her wardrobe and relax after a busy day. It’s practical, yes – but more importantly, it’s a room that makes you want to sit back, exhale and revel in the luxury.
